The big book is the most challenging part of this subject. My partner is Steven Jay and we both don’t know how to draw. So we turned the H-building upside down to look for a student who is willing to draw 16 hares, a horse, a bull, a goat, a sheep, a calf, hounds and humans. We found Ailleen Paradela, an elementary classmate.
The story is entitled THE HARE WITH MANY FRIENDS. It was written by John Gay in poem style. We modified the story and let the illustrator do her thing. The story is about a hare that has many friends. She was pursued by the hunters and their dogs so she sought help from the horse, the bull, the goat, the sheep and the calf. Yet no one helped her. The moral of the story is to choose your friends wisely.
